The Story | Starting in October at St. Paul's Episcopal Church

Wednesdays at St. Paul's

All Wednesdays begin with service at 6 pm, a $6 meal at 6:30 pm followed by teaching and discussion of a chapter of The Story

The Story – a parish wide immersion into the Bible. Starting in October the whole parish will begin a journey to explore the Bible together in a new way. The Story puts the Bible in chronological order and breaks it into 31 easily readable chapters. We will be meeting to discuss the chapter each Wednesday night beginning in October (but even if you cannot attend on Wednesdays, you can still follow The Story on your own along with the parish). All that you need is a copy of the book and a willingness to see God’sstory in a new light. A copy of The Story costs $16 and can be ordered through the church office. Please email llavelle@stpauls-lakeview.org to reserve your copy.

“The Greatest Story ever told” is more than just a cliché. God goes to great lengths to rescue lost and hurting people. That is what The Story is all about—the story of the Bible, God’s great love affair with humanity. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the clear, accessible text of the NIV Bible, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. And like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption-and this story’s true!
